I was born and raised in San Antonio, Tx to a Mexican family that lived along the border of U.S. and Mexico. In high school I had the opportunity to go on a service trip to Peru where my passion of travel, culture, and justice began. I wanted to be a Catholic missionary in El Salvador but began focusing on politics and social-economic justice as I worked through my undergrad and became more educated on the negative effects of missionary/service work. 

I received my BA in Human Geography with minor in Sociology from Sam Houston State University in 2021 and soon moved to Dallas, Tx for two years where I was a community/youth organizer for a Latinx nonprofit.
