 Introduction

  • Junghwan Kim earned a BS in urban planning and engineering (Summa Cum Laude) from Yonsei University, South Korea and a Master of Urban Planning (MUP) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Kim is interested in understanding relationships between human daily mobility (e.g., how do people travel around in their daily lives?) and its health outcomes (e.g., exposure to various negative environmental pollutants such as air pollution/traffic congestion). Kim is also interested in studying various topics in public transit such as developing public transit accessibility measurements that reflect individuals' unique travel behavior. In addition to his academic career, he had worked as a transportation planning modeler in Champaign County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) for two years.
